The Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is an absolute riot of historically significant cars. On an average year you can expect to see everything from the earliest Land Speed Record breakers to the latest in Le Mans Hypercars.

Those from the earliest section can include almost every kind of motorsport, from the aforementioned record breakers to sportscars and the Grand Prix racers of the day. Some of those cars come from before Grand Prix racing even existed, and these are seven from earlier than any of the rest.
