What happens when a scientist can’t explain an archaeological discovery? Most of the time, they come up with a theory. They might not be able to say exactly what the discovery is, but they might make suggestions or propose a few ideas. On some occasions, though, they’ll have nothing - and it’s time times they have nothing that we find the most fascinating.
