Chicken Tikka Daal

Ingredients boiled lentil:
Yellow Lentil (Moong Daal Soaked) 1 ½ cup
Water 3 ½ cups
Salt 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp

Ingredients for Tarka:
Oil 1/4 cup
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves 2-3
Dried red button chilies 5-6

Ingredients for Chicken Tikka Daal:
Oil 1/4 cup
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Green chilies (Chopped) 2-3
Onion (chopped) 1 cup
Tomatoes (chopped) 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Whole spice powder 1 tsp
Red chili powder 2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Dried Mango powder 1 tsp
Boiled lentil
Water 2 cups
K&N’s Tikka Toppingz 'n Fillingz 650 g as required
Green coriander (chopped) as required

Directions for Boiled Lentil Preparation:
1. In a pot add soaked lentil, water, salt, turmeric powder and mix well. Bring it to boil.
2. Cover and cook until daal until 80% done. Take off flame and set aside.
Directions for Chicken Tikka Daal Preparation:
1. Thaw K&N’s Tikka Toppingz 'n Fillingz as per instructions on the pack.
2. Fry K&N’s Tikka Toppingz 'n Fillingz as per instructions on the pack.
3. For Tarka, in a pan heat oil and add garlic, cook for a minute. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, dried red chilies and cook for 1-2 minutes. Your Tarka is ready.
4. In another pot heat oil and add garlic, cook for a minute. Add cumin seeds, green chilies and sizzle for a minute.
5. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes get soft.
6. Add turmeric powder, whole spice powder, red chili powder, salt, dried mango powder and mix well.
7. Add boiled lentil and mix well.
8. Add prepared K&N’s Tikka Toppingz 'n Fillingz and cook over medium flame until fully done.
9. Pour the prepared Tarka over Chicken Tikka Daal.
10. Dish it out and garnish it with green coriander.
11. Your Chicken tikka Daal is ready. Serve with Rice or Roti and enjoy.
