Reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 after one month, to see if this fresh Wear OS 3 device is one of the best smartwatches of 2021. This 40mm version is more compact than the 44mm and Classic models, already one of my favourites for design, with smart fitness tracking and a gorgeous screen. However, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 does suffer from mediocre battery life, same as rivals like the Apple Watch.

This smartwatch is the first to use Google's new Wear OS 3 interface, albeit with a heavy Samsung influence. You've got full Play Store access, so you can download fresh faces, apps and other shenanigans. But most of the services on here come from the Korean giant, including Pay, Bixby etc.

The Galaxy Watch 4 doesn't have the same physical rotating bezel as the Classic, but the specs and features are otherwise mostly the same. While the battery life limits you to a day of use per charge unless you hack those tools, you get plenty of fitness tracking shiz to stay healthy. But ECG is for Galaxy phone owners only, and there's no iPhone support just yet.
