Daily Routines - End Of Summer (Story 45)
Falafel recipe:
1 1/2 cups dry chickpeas
4 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup yellow onion, diced
1 bunch parsley
1 lemon juiced
2 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons coriander
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup oat flour (grind up whole oats in your blender to make oat flour)
Soak your chickpeas Overnight. The next day drain the chickpeas and cook until soft. This will take around 1.5 hours.
In a pressure cooker it will take 13-18 minutes
Drain the cooked chickpeas and let cool. Place in a food processor with the other ingredients and pulse. Dont over mix as it will turn into hummus. Shape into round disks and sprinkle the tops with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
