Phil Mickelson shot a solid opening round of 72 (even par) in The 150th Open in St Andrews.
It's certainly an interesting opening interview for lefty & there were a few tense exchanges including one early one with a resident journalist.
He said that he's happy with his decision to join the breakaway tour & rates the player experience as a 10.
A birdie on the 7th, 12th & 14th, but bogeys on 10, 11 & 13 balanced out the birdies & as he said himself, he left one or two out there today.
It will be interesting to see if he can shoot a round tomorrow to make the weekend.
