This video is about New York City HPD registration. New York City landlords that own residential buildings are obligated to register with NYC Housing Preservation and Development, HPD if:
• Residential property has 3 or more units.
• Property has one or two-family dwellings if neither the owner nor owner’s immediate family members reside at the property.
• Ownership changes.
• The information changes as for example when there is a new managing agent.
The contact information provided through the HPD Registration is used by HPD for all official notifications and emergencies.
We take a look at the actual HPD registration website which is called PROS where you can:
• Fill out New Registration form if you are a new owner or an owner registering for the first time.
• Access registration records and history for your buildings.
• And access other important information such as HPD violations.
