When it comes to fitness, there are countless workout styles that can help you achieve your goal. But in case you are looking for an energising and high-intensity exercise then you must try Tabata.
Tabata is a high-intensity interval training, which is specifically designed to get your heart rate up in a short period. In this training session, you have to perform any exercise for 20 seconds with maximum intensity and then rest for 10 seconds. This has to be repeated 8 times.
This form of workout targets a greater range of muscle groups as compared to other traditional exercises. It also helps you burn more calories both during and after your workouts. In this video, famous Malaysian fitness trainer Jordan Yeoh guides us how to do a Tabata interval workout. He chooses to perform burpees in it, but you can do any exercise like squats, push-ups or Jumping jack. Remember this workout is not for beginners as the intensity exercises might lead to muscle strain.
