As far as I can remember, growing up on the farm was always an adventure. We helped mom with picking wild strawberries and this was a tedious job as they are so small but incredibly tasting with complex floral notes of rose and violet. So, my mom used to treat us by making Minoune, which is cream, a bit of sugar and fresh wild strawberries...placed in freezer for an hour or so. It was better than ice cream to us!!
I am sure many have made this, but as far as a name for this dish...I only knew it as "Minoune"
Funny thing is...Minoune is a French translation referring to a female cat...
So the part where I am laughing so hard in this video is when I realized the innuendo about the whole thing! Lol

My little garden is shaping up nicely...I have started drying some of my herbs such as thyme, chives, parsley and oregano.
My lettuce has come back from last year and taste tender still.
