I don’t care about toys, I don’t care about things,
All that I care about is the box they were in,
I hope under the tree there’s a box that’s empty, just for me, just for me.

I know I may be small, but I’m one greedy cat,
And if I had my way I’d be ever so fat,
I want all the cat treats, and a whole Christmas feast, just for me,

You see cardboard can be whatever you may dream,
This box might be a castle, or a time-machine,

For the rest of the year, I just eat the same thing,
But this wonderful day I will dine like a king,
I’ll eat every scrap and I’ll lick the plate clean,

But on this Christmas day, there are cats that are stray,
Whose owners didn’t love them and threw them away,
It happened to us, when we were 5 weeks old,
Left by the roadside in the freezing cold,

We’re only two cats, but with your help we’re huge,
Together just think of the lives we’d improve,
So if you could just spare some loose change for the care,
Of the cats at Thames Valley Animal Welfare,
Well then you’d, make our Christmas wish come true!
