Canon EOS R7 review: A strong start for RF-mount crop sensor cameras

The EOS R7 is Canon’s first APS-C camera to use the RF mount the company launched in 2018 with the EOS R, and it seems set to replace the EOS M line that uses a completely different mount. The R7 is a solid first effort, delivering speedy burst shooting and accurate autofocus that’s right up there with Sony. It’s also more competent for video than most rival cameras except perhaps Fujfilm’s similarly priced X-T4. The main downside is significant rolling shutter in video and electronic shooting modes.
