Nut Free Macaron Recipe- Rosie's Dessert Spot
In this cake decorating tutorial, I demonstrate how to create delicious macarons WITHOUT almonds. The recipe for these little guys is listed below:
135 grams egg white (pinch of salt added)
4 tablespoons of sugar
a teaspoon of flavouring (I used vanilla bean paste)
230 grams icing sugar
120 grams ground sunflower seeds (you can find this at your health food store or grind them yourself in a food processor or grinder)
gel food colouring of your choice
Bake at 140 degrees Celsius for 18 minutes, rotating the tray half way for even colour.
