How To Start Hulu Watch Party

In this quick tech how-to video, I’m going to show you how to start and use the Hulu feature, Watch Party.

Watch Party is a group feature, where you and up to seven other Hulu subscribed friends can watch and chat together as you watch the shows and movies. Keep in mind, Watch Party is designed to work inside of your web browser, so unfortunately this doesn’t work yet on the mobile app.

To get started, head to Hulu.com and sign in.

If it’s your first time, you’ll then see the Everyone’s Invited pop-up window telling you about Watch Party. Go ahead and hit Close.

Next, find the show or movie that you want to start sharing.

On the show’s homepage, and if it is eligible, you’ll then see the Watch Party icon next to Play.

Choose that and you’ll get the Watch Party popup. Choose Start the Party. You’ll then be taken to the play page.

Next, copy the link here, and then send it to the other members that you want in your watch party. You can email the link or text it to them using something like Apple’s Messages app.

Once the other people have received and joined, hit Start the Party.

Now that you’re in and watching, you’ll see you have a chat feature on the right where you can chat with your friends. You also have the link button up there too if you’d like to share the link with others to join later.

And that’s how you start and use the Watch Party feature on Hulu.
