Recently I seem to be playing some quite deep and meaningful, and maybe even sad songs - Sound of Silence, Imagine and now Mad World. I'm ok honest! But it seems like these songs have a greater meaning in today's world. Maybe it's like that all the time, but they seem to mean more right now?

My dad played this song to me last year, and I love how the melody just floats through the whole song. It's a little strange how the station seems at peace during the song.

The music video of this is brilliant - filmed from the top of a tall building with the camera pointing down and children down on the ground making shapes. I know it's also in the movie Donnie Darko, but my dad won't let it watch it yet - which makes me want to watch it more!

I know the original by Tears for Fears has a faster tempo, but I think this one is nicer and fits the lyrics better
