Pretty Posture in Women - Sacroiliac Joint CRUNCHES Give Immediate Relief
Patient is an avid runner. She has been suffering left, SI joint pain related to her running. SI joint mobilization is something that has been contested in the chiropractic community. Some chiropractors believe that SI joint is immobile. Some believe it is a vital chiropractic maneuver to establish balance and maintain the foundation of the spinal column. As for myself? I believe a little of both. The sacrum is the keystone of the spine. However, I believe SI joints are prone to hyper-mobility over time if not balanced regularly by a proper chiropractic adjustment. Sometimes patients present too late in their lives to receive a proper SI adjustment. The sooner the better IMHO. At times, I won't even attempt to adjust the pelvis as the lumbar spine moves more readily BEFORE the SI joints will. That is something every chiropractor should keep in mind.
