In Korea, if you're a party of one – it’s hard to order this dish at restaurants (need a minimum of 2 people). So allow me to show you how to make this at home! Budae Jjigae is a stew that originates from the Post-Korean War. Koreans were given SPAM from the leftover inventory at US bases – and it was thrown into a kimchi stew, along with bacon, sausages and canned beans. It was tasty then – and still beloved today in Korea as an ultimate comfort food!
