Welcome back to RBR! Today, we’re doing something a bit different – we’re diving into the world of #LEGO with a first appearance by my son, Rakin! Say hi to Rakin guys! :)

We’re super excited to unveil the #LEGOTechnic #MercedesBenz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line, a set designed to commemorate the 45th anniversary of one of the world’s most iconic off-roaders. This set is perfect for any Mercedes-Benz or lego fan, and it’s packed with authentic features and cool functions that will please fans who know the car well.

First off, let's talk about the set itself. With 2891 pieces, this build is an immersive experience that took 10 months to design and 1.5 years to develop. It’s set to release worldwide on August 1st and will be priced at €249.99, $249.99, and £219.99.

Now, let’s explore the amazing features of this LEGO Technic set. You’ll find a 6-cylinder in-line piston engine, a gearbox with drive, neutral, and reverse settings, and even two differential locks! The steering works with a functioning steering wheel, and the raised suspension mimics the real G 500 with independent front and solid axle rear suspension. Plus, there are additional accessories like a ladder, spare wheel, roof rack, and even a trailer hitch. These are optional. So you can make normal looking G Wagon too!

Open the doors to reveal the detailed interior, complete with foldable rear seats and door locks. The tailgate, bonnet, and sunroof all open, adding to the authenticity. The set also includes fun Easter eggs, such as a GPS screen with the Schöckl track and a personalised easter egg license plate.

Lego has also introduced some exciting firsts with this set. There’s a new tire with an off-road tread, a new angle connector to achieve the slight incline of the car’s sides, and it’s possibly the only Technic set ever to use all three types of differentials. The reddish-orange color is new for 2024 and is the closest LEGO has to the iconic Manufaktur Copper Orange. New prints for the Mercedes badges add to the realism.

But that’s not all! We’ve got something truly special here – an almost life-size LEGO G Wagon built to celebrate this set. This 85% scale model looks like the LEGO version of the G Wagon rather than the real thing. It’s made from 445,971 bricks, took 2285 hours to build, and weighs a whopping 972.05 kg!

This LEGO Technic Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line set is not just a toy; it’s a tribute to the legacy of the G-Class, combining intricate design with high performance. Whether you’re a LEGO enthusiast or a Mercedes-Benz fan, this set is a must-have.

That’s it for today! We hope you enjoyed this special LEGO edition of RBR. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more reviews and updates on the latest and greatest in the automotive world. Until next time, happy building! :)
