The MacBook Air is back with a new design for 2022, and it sports Apple’s new M2 processor, which Apple rightly claims is 18% faster than the M1 for multicore performance and 30% faster for graphics. The modern redesign ditches the wedge and the 2.7 lb /1.24kg Air look like a thinner and smaller 14” MacBook Pro. It has a larger 13.6” display that’s no longer second fiddle to the 13” MacBook Pro’s, and it has smaller bezels, a 1080p webcam and MagSafe. Apple’s upping the ante for 13” Ultrabooks in the $1,200 to $1,500 price range.
