Join The Adventurine Founder and Bulgari Collection series (Assouline) Marion Fasel in an exploration of iconic pieces from Bulgari’s ‘Serpenti’ and ‘Monete’ collections, featured in Sotheby’s sale The Bold Standard: Jewels by Bulgari and Marina B. Drawing inspiration from an early fascination with ancient Greek and Roman coins, Nicola Bulgari debuted his ‘Monete’ collection in the 1960s and Sotheby’s auction includes a variety of striking necklaces, ear clips and accessories from the series. The Serpenti Collection, popularized by Elizabeth Taylor while filming Cleopatra (1963), actually began as timepieces and reflected Gianni Bulgari’s desire to unite the worlds of watches and jewelry.
