Bodycam video shows police shooting an armed man after receiving a domestic dispute call in early March. A woman called the Milwaukee Police Department on her husband, 29-year-old Allen J. Dekeyser, after a domestic dispute that involved a gun. Police arrived at the home and spoke with the woman that called, who was outside of the home at the time. The woman provided officers with a key to enter the locked home. Upon opening the door, the officers announced themselves and Dekeyser approached them while carrying a gun. An officer commanded Dekeyser the show his hands, then fired two shots, hitting the suspect. Based on the bodycam video, it is unclear what movements Dekeyser made before the officer discharged his weapon. The officer who fired said he saw Dekeyser chamber a round into the gun and move it in their direction. Dekeyser was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and has since pleaded not guilty to a felony charge. The officer who pulled the trigger remains on administrative duty.
