Shenzhen is one of the world's fastest growing cities. It has a population of almost 13 million, ranks 7th in the world for number of skyscrapers, and was even the home to China's first McDonalds. The craziest thing about all of this is - 40 years ago, Shenzhen was just a small fishing village. Shenzhen is an interesting case study for the high speed of growth, development and innovation in China's modern cities.
