How to cut up MDF sheets without a track saw - DIY tips!

In this video I show you how you can cut up big sheets of MDF sheet without using a track saw - so just using a scrap of wood as a guide. Specifically this is for sheet material that's too big to go on the table saw - also useful if the stock is too big to fit on a cross-cut sled etc. Obviously this is much easier with a home made cross-cut jig or a track saw. The same technique can be used with other timber (ply etc.) however make sure you use a blade appropriate to the stock being cut.

Important - make sure you wear goggles and also a dust mask if you're cutting a lot of this stuff as all wood dust can be harmful! Of course, you could also just use a saw. This video is really old and there are much better ways of doing this. I'm not deleting it though as it's funny to look back at how awful this is... :-)
