Hello, everybody. Today we'll talk about how pencils are made. While it might not excite you as you probably take this basic item which we see and use every day for granted, there is a huge work and effort behind it.

Each year, companies worldwide produce more than 14 billion pencils; the fully automated process starts with creating a mixture of clay and graphite to mold the pencil's core and ends with packaging.
