So for those that have been watching my videos recently, I did an Omegle session a couple of weeks ago, and one of my friends from school Patchubun realised I was on Omegle and came on and played Rush E - https://youtu.be/f6BSQ_XsbiQ. He then challenged me to play it by ear! Well, I just about did it - not great, but it's not an easy one to do. Well @Sheet Music Boss commented, and threw down a challenge to do it properly on video! It's not quite a Fanchen level challenge but I will do it, but not yet. It's an honour to be challenged by SMB, so I have to do it properly to do it justice.

Anyway, last weekend, after my music exam, I went out to London for a day out and Patchubun also came out to meet me at St Pancras and we thought it would be good to just have some fun on the pianos. Well, Patchubun decided to play Rush E, and I thought as I needed to learn Rush E anyway, why not just learn it live in public by ear!

Patchubun is a really talented pianist, so I knew he would be able to handle me jumping on the piano with him. We had not practiced, and he did not know I was going to jump on, as I did not know that too until I decided to! See how he had to shuffle across as I came in? We were doing four hand stuff earlier so he realised then I was coming in and adjusted! So what happened was our first ever improvised four hands Rush E as we had never done it before! It was a bit messy, but loads of fun.

After that, we did other songs and covers, and thought to try it again, but actually start sitting down in position. By that time, since I did it that first improvised time and I started to remember back from the Omegle session, it was already "better" in my head so hopefully it was a little better the second time? The end was still a mess (sorry Patchubun!) as I still don't know how it is meant to end. Patchubun is really talented so follow him on his Tiktok on patchubunscat!

I will take up the challenge from Sheet Music Boss, but want to spice it up a little - so subscribe to make sure you see what happens when I actually do the Rush E challenge!
