Covid-19 Minister Chris Hipkins will announce whether the Government will move New Zealand out of the “red” traffic light at 1pm.

Moving to ‘orange” would see all restrictions on gatherings removed, other than masking requirements, while moving to “green” would remove all restrictions.

The Government has been under some pressure to move the country or parts of it down from “red” as case numbers and hospitalisations have fallen.
