Long Chieng (also known as Long Tieng) was a secret CIA base in Laos during the Vietnam War, serving as the headquarters for covert operations. It became a critical hub where the CIA trained and supported Hmong forces to fight against the communist Pathet Lao. At its peak, it was one of the busiest airstrips in the world, earning the nickname "the most secret place on Earth." Despite its significance, Long Chieng remained largely unknown to the world until years after the war ended. Let's go find it.
