Reviewing the Asus Zenfone 8, the mini version of the Flip phone model with more standard camera hardware, but beefy flagship specs in a compact design. Asus has launched one of the only compact blowers of 2021, and I wanted to adore it so much. That camera can capture great looking, natural photos in almost any conditions, even with the ultra-wide lens. And that selfie cam does a perfectly fine job too.

The Asus Zenfone 8 boasts strong performance for gaming thanks to the Snapdragon 888 and up to 16GB of DDR5 RAM. Genshin Impact? No worries, even on top detail settings. Plus the ZenUI launcher adds some worthy features like Game Genie, without screwing up the Android 11 vibe.

Unfortunately the battery life is the Achilles Heel of this smartphone. I struggled to make it through a full day on one charge, unless I was taking it very easy.
