Lisa Gade reviews Samsung’s new more affordable “fan edition” Galaxy S20 Android smartphone, the S20 FE 5G. It’s priced at $699 (though already discounted to $599) and is available in 6 colors. The phone has a 6.5” FHD+ flat OLED display with an Infinity selfie camera and fingerprint scanner. It has a “glasstic” back that’s plastic but made to look (err, somewhat) like matte glass. The S20 FE runs Android 10 with One UI 2.5 on the same Snapdragon 865 processor (Exynos in some countries, 4G model is Exynos, Samsung hasn't provided us with much detail about worldwide CPU distribution) as the rest of the S20 family. It has 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and a microSD card slot. The phone has 12MP ultra-wide, 12MP main and 8MP telephoto cameras on the back, is IP68 water resistant and is available on most carriers as well as unlocked. It supports low, mid and mmWave 5G.
