Vevo Meets: Sabrina Claudio. 2017

Sabrina Claudio got her first blush of fame when she began releasing covers of her favorite songs on YouTube. She was only 14, but her voice and her interpretations earned plenty of notice. From Jhené Aiko and Gnarls Barkley to Willow Smith and Lana Del Rey. Since then, the South Florida teen’s cover performances have blossomed into a string of original music, and her seductive blend of R&B and pop (with flecks of bossa nova, old school soul and jazz) has found even more fans. Check her video for “Tell me/Too Much Too Late,” and give a listen to instantly impressive tracks such as “Orion’s Belt.” The Miami native with the Cuban/Puerto Rican roots is now a resident of Los Angeles. Her circle is widening.

She celebrated the arrival of her ‘Confidently Lost’ EP with a visit to Vevo. Now 20 years old, she spoke about some of the singers who influenced the music, such as Gretchen Parlato and Esperanza Spalding, revealed a fun fact about a new hobby, and told us about her goals.
