Reading 1,000 books changed my brain

I freak out on videos like this, wondering if they're interesting enough for anyone to listen to and end up trying to cram as much as possible in as little time as possible - I ended up cutting my intro from 3 minutes to a few seconds.

BUT I hope my point still comes across ok! Reading has genuinely changed my life and brain - and these are some reasons I love it.

Also as a side note, what I'd have liked to expand on a bit more are our attitudes towards reading: I don't think everyone "should" read, and forcing ourselves to have "reading routines" is a proper pain and can suck the joy out of it all. I do believe it should be fun and there when you want to do it!

WHO AM I: I'm Elizabeth, a medical student, artist, YouTuber and Podcaster in London. I love to think and talk about life, art, medicine, books and meaning. And also how to find the time to do those things. If you'd like to watch me paint and talk about life, I do that on my podcast (https://www.youtube.com/channe....l/UC5NsPe2poaBRA0IPd and if you'd like to read my thoughts and book notes, I have a newsletter you can join (http://newsletter.elizabethfilips.com).
