[CC] Miyeok-Guk (Seaweed Soup with Beef) : Korean Soup : Honeykki 꿀키
Hello. This is Honeykki! Today I’m making miyeok-guk (seaweed soup), a Korean traditional soup.
It is a custom to eat this soup on birthdays and just after giving birth. But we never eat it on a test day.
There is a superstition that if you eat slippery seaweed, you will slip and fail the test.
Miyeok-guk is usually made with beef, but some regions use mussels, clams and fish instead of beef.
There is a way of making broth using a big lump of beef, but I will use my mom’s simplified recipe.

* Ingredients (3~4 served)
15g Miyeok(Seaweed), 150g beef(brisket), 1L water
2~3Tbs sesame oil, Soy sauce(2Tbs) and salt to taste
