The bigger a vibrating disk magnet is, the lower the generated sound will be. The frequency of a vibration can be fine tuned with an opposing magnetic field. The pitch goes higher as the repelling magnet gets closer to the vibrating disk magnet. Once a disk magnet is in tune, a repelling magnet can be secured to a block magnet conveniently with a wingnut. The 5 mm cube magnets on their own were not powerful enough to perform as repelling magnets for the bigger disks in this setup.

∅5 x 5 mm disk magnet in this setup produced more or less a G note and it could be tuned two semitones up with an opposing magnet.
∅14 x 8 mm disk magnet generated more or less a G note, octave lower than with the ∅5 x 5 mm disk
∅12 x 5 mm disk magnet was very close to an A note, being in the same octave as the ∅14 x 8 mm disk

Synthwave also known as Outrun, Retrowave or Futuresynth is an electronic music microgenre that is based predominantly on the music associated with action, science-fiction, and horror film soundtracks of the 1980s. Other influences are drawn from the decade's art and video games. Synthwave musicians often espouse nostalgia for 1980s culture and attempt to capture the era's atmosphere and celebrate it. The genre developed in the mid-to late 2000s through French house producers, as well as younger artists who were inspired by the 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Other reference points included composers John Carpenter, Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis (especially his score for the 1982 film Blade Runner), and Tangerine Dream. Synthwave reached wider popularity after being featured in the soundtracks of the 2011 film Drive (which included some of the genre's best-known songs), 2017 film Thor: Ragnarok and the Netflix series Stranger Things."

On my channel you will find all the ways to have fun with magnets divided into 3 main categories:

Classical magnetic experiments such as magnetic levitation, homopolar motors, small magnetic weapons, Gauss cannons, gears, magnetic field viewers and much more.

Satisfaction video like the construction of magnetic sculptures, slime and magnetic putty and product review.

ASMR relaxing videos to watch but above all to listen preferably with stereo headphones to be able to appreciate the particular sounds of the magnets

About Magnetic Games:
All ways to have fun with magnets.

The magnetism has always intrigued me. The strength of the magnets is scientifically explainable but there's something "magical" about its interaction with the world. My Channel offers you curious experiments and fun games to do with magnets.
