This 4-room resale HDB in Tiong Bahru is an interesting one as homeowners Lauren and Lloyd set out to create a home that is a contrast to minimalism - hence the title, a maximalism apartment. They were also one of the main homeowners that had their renovation journey disrupted by the current pandemic, as their house was only about 85% completed just two days before circuit breaker. Thankfully they managed to finish the crucial parts like plumbing a day before to move in, but it definitely was not a smooth process.

There are two intriguing parts of the house, one of which is the cement flooring. Due to a mistake from the contractor, Lloyd himself had to buy a sanding machine to sand down the entire area. Second, they have a luxurious walk-in wardrobe which is a quite a rarity to see today as houses get smaller and storage space shrinks.
