Strawberries and Cream Cake Tutorial- Rosie's Dessert Spot
In this tutorial I demonstrate how to create this super simple layered sponge cake with a little surprise honeycomb / crushed crunchy bar center.

Cream filling recipe:
600mls heavy cream / whipping cream
3 tablespoons caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 to 3 drops Lemon Yellow Americolour gel food colour (any gel food colour will do)

(I used a special sponge mix by Allied Mills. This is bakery grade flour / sponge cake mix, but the scratch recipe is still one of the better ones around).

This is a very easy cake to replicate, I notice that on my instagram comments, a few people have been commenting that while the cakes may look nice, they also look too difficult to replicate. This cake is for you guys! The cakes actually are pretty easy to make, but it does take a little practice at first. I hope you might take a leap of faith with this one, realize how easy it is to decorate cakes, and then move on to the more exotic looking ones! but trust me,, they're not so bad ;)
