A few months ago Kenny Whitelaw-Jones showed our virtual meetup group how it's becoming easier to build complex models in record time using modular model build tool Openbox, a new structured financial modelling environment that sits on top of Excel.

Since then, 150 beta users have taken the software through three rounds of private beta.

In this session Kenny and the lead developer for Openbox, Iain Morrow share what was learned from the beta users, how the software has developed in response to user feedback and what lies ahead on the development pathway.

Openbox is now preparing for an equity crowd funding round. Their goal is that the modelling community is able to own a stake in the software and continue to shape it to meet their needs. Kenny will share how they are preparing for the round and discuss the thorny issue of pre-revenue valuation!
