This story gives a deep look at Rachel’s character, a black character living with Albinism played by Michelle Mosalakae, and also touches upon The Melanin project which was adapted by the director Mandla Dube during the shooting of Silverton Siege, aiming to program the camera sensors to have the dark and black skin tones as a standard preset.

Silverton Siege is an action thriller inspired by true events that took place in 1980 South Africa. A trio of freedom fighters gets into a collision course with the state after a failed sabotage mission, which turns into a bank hostage stand-off.
