Serial killer Charles Sobhraj has been ordered released from a Nepal prison on December 22, 2022, due to his health condition and good behaviour. The 78-year-old has served 19 of his 20-year life sentence. The French national, nicknamed ‘the serpent’, is linked to the killings of over 20 Western backpackers across Asia during the 1970s and 1980s.
