We've partnered with World Vision to share hope and joy with children ‘Around the World’ this Christmas!

Our new song hopes to encourage Australians to support 5,000 of the world’s most vulnerable children this Christmas, and help children everywhere feel strong and proud.

The video features World Vision sponsored children, and aims to inspire children everywhere, whilst highlighting an important message about the pivotal role that food and education plays in a child’s wellbeing.

While significant progress has been made when it comes to supporting the world’s most vulnerable children, more needs to be done. This year alone, World Vision reports that more than 50 million people – around half of them children – are at risk of starvation. With food insecurity the cause of 45 percent of preventable deaths for children under five, The Wiggles and World Vision are challenging Australians to transform 5,000 children’s lives around the world this Christmas through child sponsorship.

Yellow Wiggle, Tsehay says, “We’re incredibly proud to use the power of song and dance to unite the world’s children, and support World Vision and those less fortunate this Christmas. We’ve learnt so much about the missed opportunities that the world’s most vulnerable children face, and by sponsoring a child through World Vision, Australians can help children everywhere have greater access to education, healthcare and life essentials like food and shelter".

World Vision Australia's Louise Cummins added, “We believe that every child, no matter where they live, should have a joyful Christmas. With the growing and catastrophic global hunger crisis, now more than ever serves as an important reminder about the role we can all play in transforming children’s lives through food and education programs".

AROUND THE WORLD - LYRICS:

When I feel strong I feel like dancing
When we feel strong we feel like dancing
When I feel proud I feel like dancing
Around the world

Food means you have energy to play
Keeps you strong throughout the day
Skipping jumping hoping and a run
Food is yummy - yum yum yum!

When I feel strong I feel like dancing
When we feel strong we feel like dancing
When I feel proud I feel like dancing
Around the world

Book means reading, it's fun to learn
Words and stories with every page turned
Reading and learning makes you feel proud
Read to yourself or read out loud

When I feel strong I feel like dancing
When we feel strong we feel like dancing
When I feel proud I feel like dancing
Around the world

School means when you're with your friends
Smiling laughing again and again
Come on let's say "Hip hip hooray!"
"Hip hip hooray!" for the school day!

When I feel strong I feel like dancing
When we feel strong we feel like dancing
When I feel proud I feel like dancing
Around the world
