Sometimes authors deliberately introduce particular music or a character in a movie in order to pay tribute to another creator. And sometimes our brain recovers familiar images stored somewhere deep in the subcortex. Either way, the creative industry knows a thing or two about stealing other people’s ideas, and there is nothing we can do about it.
