This is Rodney Fox he has dedicated 50 years of his life to shark conservation after being dragged to the ocean floor by a Great White Shark. In 1964 after surviving his horrific shark attack, Rodney got back in the water. Behind the safety of worlds first shark cage he designed and built himself. Rodney had to see whether these giants of the deep were really the crazed man eaters everyone was so afraid of. For Rodney fear turned into fascination, he saw how beautiful, curious, and majestic they were. Through research he found that sharks are a necessary part of our oceans ecosystem and humans don’t have a right to kill them just out of fear.
It was a such an honour to meet Rodney Fox and his team. I set out on a 4 day expedition to capture footage of great whites and to tell the story of Rodney Fox. This is an experience I am truly grateful for and I will never forget. I hope you enjoy the film.
