That first meeting, no matter how fast it came, how unexpected it was, how unplanned everything seemed to be, is always and completely the most wonderful thing in the world.

I know I talk frequently about a mama's plans or ideas not exactly panning out. We had our own set of punches to roll with regarding birth. Just like with any story though, it all played out beautifully in the end and we are thankful.

Not proceeding without epidural was not part of the plan, but going with the flow was. Not bringing home our baby for the next month certainly was not part of our plan either, but in God's time, he came home.

In all the fear and uncertainty, we held on to our faith and our little miracle, Asher, is a testament to that, and to God's abundant love.
