It was an ordinary day in the slimy household. Samantha and Slime Sam were playing with the soda can robot. Slime Sam was getting frustrated because the stubborn robot didn't want to move in his direction. Robots are such robots and Sam is such a Sam...

Back to the storyline. Samantha got thirsty and got a can of soda from the fridge. Which soda? Coca Cola, of course, it's everyone's favorite in this family! As a regular brat Sam immediately demanded one for himself.

Both enjoyed their drinks and quenched their thirst but something went wrong and Samantha ended up spilling Coke all over poor Slime Sam! To add insult to injury this careless girl tried throwing away recyclable cans! Slime Sam was not about to let that slide.

He showed Samantha how he and Sue sort their trash and then started reminiscing about the good old days when Sue was making fun and easy crafts for kids out of trash and recyclables. The best of waste, so to say! It's hard to make Samantha feel bad but she did eventually remember that there was this cool DIY tutorial on YouTube that showed how to make a Coca Cola! Sam was thrilled and together they got to work.

HOW TO TURN A SODA CAN INTO A FUNNY TOY

😎2:40 - Make two popsicle sticks the same length as a soda can. Use a pencil to mark and clippers to cut the excess. Safety first! always ask adults to help when working with sharp or hot objects and tools!

😎2:55 - You will also need two small pieces of a popsicle stick with the measurements 1.7 cm by 3.3 cm.

😎2:59 - Glue these four pieces together. They should make kind of a bench, two longer sticks laying next to each other and small pieces glued to them on either side.

😎The next piece is a popsicle stick with a long narrow hole in it. It's better to watch the video at 3:08 for the detailed instructions on this part of the craft. You will need two of these.

😎3:21 - Drill a small hole on the opposite side of each stick.

MAGIC TRICK AT 3:39!

😎Next piece is wooden scissors! For this moving part, you will need a drill, nails, hot glue, and three popsicle sticks. Watch the video at 3:57 to make it right.

😎4:20 - Clip a bamboo skewer to the same length as a regular popsicle stick, cut off a piece of a plastic straw and insert the skewer into the straw.

😎4:28 - Glue the skewer in the straw to the wooden "scissors".

😎Now make another part (scissors with the skewer) just like this one!

😎4:37 - Make a small half-box out of those two parts with the holes and two more popsicle sticks cut to the size.

😎4:50 - Bring the whole mechanism together! Use a skewer to join two pairs of wooden "scissors" and this half-box.

😎5:19 - Make a pump using a mini saw and syringes. It'll serve as a shooting mechanism!

😎5:45 - Attach it to the model with another skewer and secure it with hot glue.

😎6:18 - Pull a piece of thread through the holes in the base and secure it with hot glue (funny moment with Slime Sam tangled in the thread!).

😎6:57 - Use a marker you don't need at school to make another piece. Sawing is so much fun!
