It's time to get the ball rolling with Project 964!!

On this episode I got busy with the handling side of things, teaming up with Hashimoto Corporation, KW Suspension and Yokohama Rubber to literally transform the 911's handling. It was a pleasure to watch the guys at Hashimoto fit the KW Variant 3 coilover kit, replacing the tired stock dampers which are 31 years old and have covered 180,000 km (112k miles).

For this first lineup of modifications I decided to stick with the stock wheels and just run modern day rubber, my favorite street and sports tire - the Yokohama Advan Neova AD09. I run the same rubber on the R34 GT-R too and oh boy did it revitalize the 964's handling and feel through the steering and seat of your pants. It was certainly a massive change from the 13 year old tires that the car came on!

Kyoto and the surrounding Shiga-ken hills were simply and amazing backdrop for us to immortalise the 964 in its simple, stock-ish, narrow body guise and put the car through some nice touge roads. Have a look at the video and let me know what you thought!
