I still remember testing out the Moto G when I was at Mobile Choice magazine, and being blown away by those specs. A super-sharp 720p display, 1GB RAM and stock Android for a budget under £150 was absolutely insane. With each subsequent release, Motorola fine-tuned the Moto G handset - although they became less compact, their camera tech improved and they gained more impressive features. Now there's strong competition for the Moto G100 etc however, via Xiaomi, Realme and others.
