This series of short films documents a project I undertook in Sydney, Australia in December 2019. The cabinet I made is an exciting result of my time travelling throughout Japan learning traditional woodworking and about heritage craft, as well as my time studying historic craft in England.
This trip was made possible by The Harriet’s Trust and The Zibby Garnet Travel Fellowship, I cannot thank them enough for their support.

The cabinet is now on display and for sale at Bungendore Wood Works Gallery near Canberra. 50% of profits will be donated to The Bower re-use and repair center in Sydney.

Music - ‘To build a home’ assembled and played by: Harry T Morris
With additions from: Dan Boulter
