Decentralizing university housing selection | Ryan Brady | TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool

At the moment, the “norm” when you start university is for your institution to choose your roommates, like a lottery. At best, you might be put in a Facebook group to chat and see who you get along with best to make the decision, a few direct message exchanges. However, what happens when you are incredibly intentional with this very important decision? What happens when you live with others that have similar long-term life goals as you? Why not be purposeful in your selection instead of leaving it up to chance?
After a year of struggling to balance university life and his passion for entrepreneurship, Ryan Brady decided to start a co-living incubator with other student entrepreneurs. The goal was to bring together students who had similar professional and personal development goals and help keep each other accountable. After one year of spectacular results, Ryan has gone on to become a top salesperson at Digital Prodigee, a hybrid digital marketing and full stack technology solutions agency based out of Florida whilst continuing to live and study in Madrid. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
