LEARN HOW TO MAKE A QUICK KALE PESTO RECIPE RIGHT AT HOME!

LAY HO MA! Pesto is seriously one of my favourite things to make and have on hand. The various ingredients you can add into this Heavenly paste is unbelievable and once you have it on hand and ready to go, you can throw together a very tasty meal in minutes! Join me in this episode and learn how to make a quick kale pesto pasta recipe. Let's begin

Ingredients:
160g fresh basil
160g kale
3 pieces garlic
1 1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1/2 cup almonds
1/4 tsp chili powder
3/4 cups olive oil
1/4lb pasta
1 cup fresh peas
2 lemon wedges

Directions:
1. Pick and remove the leaves from the basil and kale. Place into the blender along with the garlic, salt, pepper, almonds, chili powder, and olive oil. Blend on medium to medium low using the tamper if necessary
2. Transfer the pesto to a container and store in the refrigerator (enjoy up to a couple of weeks) or freezer
3. Bring a pot of water to boil for the pasta. Cook the pasta to package instructions. Save about 1/4 cup of pasta water
4. When the pasta is cooked, strain out the water. Add the peas, 2-3 tbsp pesto, and the reserved pasta water
5. Give the pasta a good stir to combine
6. Plate the pasta, add some pepper to taste, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice
