The KAROQ, a compact SUV, is the younger and smaller brother of the KODIAQ. Its size and stylish design make it a perfect fit for the city. What’s more, thanks to the intelligent all-wheel drive and Off-road mode, it handles just as well off the beaten track. The ŠKODA KAROQ SPORTLINE expands the KAROQ line to include a version with a sporty look and the most powerful petrol engine in this series – designed exclusively for the SPORTLINE. With its outstanding luggage compartment and a whole raft of Simply Clever features, it couldn’t be more practical. The high level of safety, backed up by a host of driver assists, extensive comfort features, and plethora of connectivity options, will make it a joy for all owners.

Sporty black accessories (up to 19-inch alloy wheels, the rear bumper, the radiator grille and wing mirror covers), along with a front sports bumper and a rear bumper incorporating decorative chrome-plated trim, accentuate the fact that this is the most dynamic KAROQ on offer.

The black sports seats are covered with ThermoFlux, a three-layer, breathable fabric. The multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather, the exclusive carbon-look decorative trim and the black upholstered ceiling are the perfect accompaniment to the car’s dynamic exterior.

The 2.0 TSI is the most powerful petrol engine available for a KAROQ and has been designed exclusively for the SPORTLINE version. Delivering 140 kW (190 PS), it is available only in conjunction with the automatic seven-speed DSG transmission and all-wheel drive. The other engines on offer are the 1.5 TSI/110 kW and the 2.0 TDI/110 kW or 140 kW.

Despite being so sporty, the KAROQ SPORTLINE is still practical and roomy inside. The fifth door can be opened with an intuitive movement of the foot under the rear bumper thanks to the optional virtual pedal. Needless to say, the car is teeming with the usual crowd of Simply Clever features, such as the rear tablet holder, Cargo Elements in the luggage compartment, and an umbrella under the front-passenger seat.

Driving Mode Select lets drivers adapt how dynamically the car handles. The optional Virtual Cockpit has a sporting carbon-fibre background and, when in Sport mode, it displays information about the current engine power and oil temperature.

There are four efficient and environmentally friendly engines to choose from, while the 2.0 TSI petrol engine with 140 kW (190 hp) is offered exclusively by ŠKODA for the KAROQ SPORTLINE. The more powerful of the two 2.0 TDI diesel engines also produces 140 kW (190 hp). In combination with this drivetrain, the compact SUV brings power to the road with a 7-speed DSG and four-wheel drive. The front-wheel-drive 2.0 TDI with 110 kW (150 hp) comes with a manual 6-speed gearbox for traction as standard. Four-wheel drive, combined with 7-speed DSG, is optionally available for this model. For the 1.5 TSI petrol engine (110 kW/150 hp) with front-wheel drive, ŠKODA also offers the 7-speed DSG as an option, also in combination with all-wheel drive.

The dynamism of the ŠKODA KAROQ SPORTLINE’s is clear at first glance. Sports bumpers and the exclusive black 18-inch ‘Mytikas’ alloy wheels create a sporty appearance and19-inch ‘Vega’ black polished alloys are available as options. The front mudguards bear the SPORTLINE logo and the body colour and black entry area, tinted windows and black roof rails round off the model’s elegant exterior.

In the interior, black sports seats with contrasting silver stitch work immediately catch the eye. The seats are upholstered with revolutionary three-ply air-permeable Thermoflux fabric, which brings extra comfort to passengers, especially in summer. The front seats feature lumbar support; the rear seats are fixed. The multifunction sports steering wheel is covered with perforated black leather with stitching in silver. Pedals with stainless steel elements, a black headliner, black roof pillars and an LED package, which includes ambient lighting, complete the sporty interior.

ŠKODA can equip the KAROQ SPORTLINE with a Virtual Cockpit on request. Virtual Cockpit in the KAROQ SPORTLINE has additional fifth display mode, which features the rev counter and the current speed in the centre. Thanks to an LTE module and Wi-Fi hotspot, passengers in the ŠKODA KAROQ are ‘always online’. The drive dynamics can be configured via the driving mode selection, and the electronic stability control ESC benefits from a two-stage configuration.
