I WAS WRONG In Thinking That Trimming An OVERGROWN Beech Hedge Would Only Take TWO HOURS

The owner of this yard asked me to trim his sprawling beech hedge and a couple of coniferous hedges. When she asked me how long it would take me to do the job?
I confidently said we could do it in 2 hours, since I planned to still have time for another client, but the job took over 4 hours. After we finished the job, I realized that I was done for the day and there was no need to rush, then I decided to give the owners of this yard a little surprise by removing the weeds from the sidewalks, cutting the overgrown ivy from the gravel and mowing the edges of the lawn a bit. But this time I really wish I had a high-pressure washer to give all the paths a good scrubbing, because they really need it!
