Rua Barata Ribeiro is one of the main roads in Copacabana. With a lot of commerce, it has a large flow of vehicles and people.
The street was named after pediatric doctor Cândido Barata Ribeiro (1843-1910), an abolitionist who began to exercise the positions of minister of the Supreme Federal Court in 1893 and senator for the then Federal District in 1897
